More schools coming after Cox

Chans Cox has been slowed by a recent shoulder injury but that doesn't mean recruiting has tailed off at all for the 2013 outside linebacker from Lakeside (Ariz.) Blue Ridge who already has offers from Arizona and Arizona State.
The Wildcats and Sun Devils remain involved in his recruitment and Cox said Nebraska, Tennessee, Oregon State, Michigan, Michigan State, Oregon, Alabama, Texas A&M, Notre Dame, Washington, BYU, Duke and others have been sending mail in recent weeks.

It's been a great month for Cox, a 6-foot-3, 220-pound prospect who said next summer will be important to camp and visit some of those top schools to see which programs are the most interested in him. In the end, that could be valuable as he makes his decision.
Early on, Cox said he has some favorites, too.
"I've been really interested and right now my top schools are Oregon, Nebraska, U of A and ASU," Cox said. "It's been really hard to tell right now. I want to be able to go to all their camps this upcoming summer and get more relationships with the coaches.
"I want to get to camps and see how interested some of the schools are, the top schools, and then see what's out there."
Cox, who will miss probably two weeks after injuring his shoulder against Snowflake, Ariz., is expected to visit Nebraska in a few weeks when the Huskers host Ohio State. He has also been to the two in-state schools that have offered to get a look at those teams.
"It's been great so far," Cox said.
Over the next couple weeks, Cox, who guessed he has around 20 tackles so far this season, will be focused on his shoulder rehab so he can get back by midseason. Maybe by then more offers will have arrived.
"We had our third game and I've been having a breakout season both on defense and offense," Cox said. "I've been doing great but then one of our biggest games against Snowflake I had a shoulder problem so that set me back a little bit. I'm going to be out for two weeks and then I'll be up and going again.
"I was very frustrated with it. I'm going to have to rehab it and come back even stronger. I was going to the quarterback and I had my arms extended. He saw me and took off and I had to dive for him and I landed and it came out."
