More Pac-12 looks for Redd

Jaylon Redd already has seven offers from some major programs and now another Pac-12 school is taking a look at the 2017 four-star prospect from Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., but it's not for playing cornerback. Cal likes Redd at running back and he is definitely intrigued to learn more about the Golden Bears and how they would possibly use him in their high-octane offense.

WHAT'S NEXT?: So far, Redd has been offered by Arizona State, Colorado, Michigan, UCLA, USC, Washington and Washington State. With the new interest from Cal especially on offense, the 2017 four-star is planning to get up to the Berkeley campus sometime this fall. He has already worked out at a Cal satellite camp and seems to really enjoy the coaching staff there.
IN HIS WORDS: "They love me at the running back position," Redd said. "I plan on getting up to the university soon but there are no set dates. I enjoy the program and I went to their camp in Riverside so I enjoyed the coaches also."
RIVALS' REACTION: It is unclear how much of a draw playing offense would be for Redd, also a standout cornerback, but if that intrigues him then Cal could look really good in his recruitment if the Golden Bears offer. Redd is keeping all his options open and is hearing from plenty of other programs - Oklahoma and Oklahoma State included - but Cal has a little bit of an edge especially if Redd decides that playing offense is what he wants to do.
