More offers rolling in for Evans

Union City (Calif.) James Logan athlete Rashad Evans is easily among the top prospects in the state. He's getting looks on both sides of the ball and recently set up his first official visit.
Evans, 5-9, 160 pounds is an explosive athlete who is getting looks at corner and slot receiver. He plays quarterback and corner at the high school level and we like his upside as a lock down corner in college.

Evans had a great performance at the NIKE Combine in Oakland where he clocked a 4.54-40, 4.28 shuttle and jumped 37 inches in the vertical. He looked very good at the SoCal NIKE Camp as well and was rated among the top defensive backs in the camp. He's also one of the state's top jumpers in track and could double sport in college.
On the recruiting front, Evans has one visit set and has about five to six other schools he's seriously considering.
"I'm going to visit Utah (Nov. 30)," Evans said. "That's my only visit set so far but I want to take all five if possible. I don't know if I'll be able to take all five because I know things can get crazy but I would like to if possible.
"The other schools I'm really looking at are Cal, USC, Tennessee, Oregon and Georgia Tech and all but USC has offered. Cal was the most recent school to offer, they just offered about two weeks ago. USC is waiting on more film and said they like me but want to evaluate me a little more.
"Right now, most schools just like me as an athlete. Some are specifying where they want me but a lot of them just like me as an athlete and then they'll find a place for me later on when I get there.
"The main things I'm looking for in a school are a good environnment where I know I'll be comfortable and a school with a strong Business program because that's what I want to major in when I get to college."
Evans has already qualified with a 2.8 GPA and a 25 on the ACT.
