More offers rolling in for Crist

The offers continue to roll in for Sherman Oaks (Calif.) Notre Dame quarterback Dayne Crist. The talented signal caller is nearing the double digit mark and could receive big news sometime next week.
Crist, 6-5, 225 pounds is one of the nation’s top quarterback prospects and our choice as top signal caller in the state at this time. The athlete has unlimited potential and is very deserving of all the recent interest he has received.

In the last week, three more schools have offered and a couple of others appear close to doing so as well.
“Stanford, Iowa and Nebraska are my most recent offers,” Crist said. “I have nine now and I should be hearing soon from Cal and USC as well. Cal has been recruiting me pretty consistently and they definitely sound interested in offering.
“As for SC, they want me to come visit the campus next week so that’s what I’ll be doing. They’re in Hawaii this week but I’ve stayed in contact.
“Basically, they have told me I’m at the top of their board, but they’re also waiting to see what happens with Mitch Mustain. I think they want to bring in just one guy so I’m just trying to be patient and see how this plays out.
“I’ve told them I want to make an early decision, probably sometime in the summer, so I know I can’t wait forever. Even if SC were to offer, I’m still going to check out some other schools and have visits planned with LSU and Notre Dame.
“LSU has a great program and they don’t have a lot of depth at quarterback. That’s not a big deal to me because I’ll compete wherever I go but at the same time, it is a plus. Notre Dame has Clausen coming in but like I said, I’m not afraid to compete and I love the tradition at Notre Dame.
“Stanford is very high on my list as well. I really like coach Harbaugh a lot and academically, you can’t beat Stanford. I know I can’t play football forever and a degree from Stanford will open a lot of doors.”
