More offers for Stewart

Defensive back Rasaan Stewart of Collegeville (Pa.) Perkiomen Valley has quietly become one of the hotter recruits in Pennsylvania during recent weeks. Now up to five offers, Stewart is also receiving increased interest from a number of other programs.
"Recruiting has been going really well," said Stewart, who is 6-foot-0 and 178 pounds. "I picked up a Rutgers offer on Saturday and then Old Dominion today (Monday), so I have a total of five."

Stewart shared a few thoughts on his two newest offers.
"I was very excited about Rutgers. I like their program and the coaching staff," said Stewart. "Old Dominion is another offer I'm excited about. It's another option that I'm happy about and I have heard a lot of good things about the location, campus and team. So I'm excited for both."
These two offers join his previous ones from Pittsburgh, Temple and Buffalo. Stewart also mentioned that he has been receiving steady interest from Boston College, Maryland, Georgia Tech, Notre Dame and Nebraska.
When it comes to upcoming visits, that is still a work in progress for Stewart.
"I will probably visit Maryland next, but it hasn't been planned," he said. "I'm still deciding on what camps I will be attending this summer."
In the meantime, Stewart has been busy working out and preparing for his senior season.
"Mainly I'm just lifting and getting bigger," he said. "I'm also working on my footwork, by doing defensive back drills and 7-on-7's with the Philly Phenoms. I'm looking to improve my strength and speed, as well as reads as a safety. I'm also working on quarterback stuff and coverages for my team, like improving my accuracy and arm strength."
While a majority of schools are looking at Stewart as a defensive back, there are a few that are intrigued by his potential on the offensive side of the ball.
"I like offense and feel I'm more dangerous there, but it doesn't matter to me," he said. "I'll play wherever a team needs me."
