Things haven't slowed much in terms of recruiting for inside linebacker Blake Slaughter.
Slaughter, the 6-foot, 219-pounder, as of last week, had collected offers from Kansas State, Northwestern, Oklahoma State, Texas Tech, and Rice. Lately, he's heard that more schools could be coming with offers.
"SMU, I'm pretty sure they're going to offer," Slaughter said. "I spoke with coach (Joe) Tumpkin the other night and their head coach came down to my practice. I'm waiting on that paperwork. Then I received word from Louisiana Tech that they're going to offer."
Iowa State is another school that Slaughter has sent film to recently and is awaiting word on an offer. Regardless of who offers next, Slaughter says that he does not have any favorites yet.
"I'm just going to wait and see which schools are going to offer," Slaughter said. "Then I want to make a decision sometime this summer or before the season."
Though Slaughter may not have a favorite, he is thinking about his next trips.
"I'm probably going to be visiting Texas Tech pretty soon," Slaughter said. "I don't know exactly when, but it will probably be during the summer because I'm pretty busy right now. Then I'll probably go visit SMU again.
"I'm just looking at all of my options. It's an honor to get an offer from all of these great schools."
