More offers for R100 DE Johnson

More schools are starting to offer Rivals100 defensive end Ron Johnson. The Camden, N.J. star has hauled in offers from Ole Miss, Notre Dame, Virginia Tech and Boston College.
"The Ole Miss offer was big," said the 6-foot-4, 230-pound Johnson. "It kind of opened my eyes that schools like that were looking at me. The coach said they put on the film and just had to offer me so that was pretty eye opening to know that a big program like that was looking at me.

"Notre Dame was pretty big because Brad Hawkins, my teammate, got the offer before and I probably want to go to school with him so that's another school that we could go together," he said. "I haven't really talked to the coaches much. They came to my school twice.
"I like it up at Virginia Tech," Johnson said. "The coaches are really cool. Coach Brown is really cool with my dad. I really liked Blacksburg, the campus, the stadium and they have some good food out there.
"Boston College is cool," he said. "They came to my school a couple times. We don't really talk much besides on Twitter. I want to go visit and check things out. I know they education up there is good. I've heard it's a nice place."
Johnson is looking at a wide range of schools but has only one visit planned right now.
"I'm focused on schools in the Big Ten, ACC and SEC," said Johnson. "I want to visit Notre Dame on March 21. That's really all I have planned."
As a junior Johnson made 84 tackles and had 10 sacks.
