More offers for Machen

When it rains it pours.
That's the case for Hilliard (Ohio) Darby linebacker B.J. Machen. After already having scholarship offers from Maryland, West Virginia, Central Michigan and Miami of Ohio, the 6-foot, 221-pound linebacker landed quite a few additional offers in the last 10 days.

"It was an exciting week for B.J.," Machen's father, Ron Machen, said. "He picked up offers from Illinois, Toledo, Ohio University, Ball State, and Marshall. He now has offers from Maryland, West Virginia, Central Michigan, Miami of Ohio, Duke and the schools I also mentioned earlier."
From the sounds of it, those won't be his last offers either.
"Coaches from Stanford, Syracuse and North Carolina are suppose to come visit him this week," his father said. "He also had coach Fickell from Ohio State and coach Tenuta from Georgia Tech come to see him this week as well as a coach from Kentucky."
At the recent Rivals.com Junior Day in Akron, Machen measured in at a very impressive 6-foot and 221 pounds. He also has been clocked at 4.67 seconds in the 40-yard dash, has a 300-pound bench press and a 500-pound squat.
Some schools see him as a safety prospect and some see him as an outside linebacker, while that might be in question, there is no question that he's picked up a tremendous amount of steam with the college recruiters.
