Ricky Heimuli of Salt Lake City (Utah) Brighton continues to rack up scholarship offers from a who's who of college football.
After picking up 10 solid offers from programs near like Utah and BYU and far like Michigan State and Nebraska, Heimuli added two big offers last week.
Last Wednesday, Heimuli picked up an offer from Oklahoma. The offer was really exciting, according to Heimuli's brother, Sefo.
"Ricky spoke with defensive line coach, coach Jackie Shipp," Heimuli said. "Coach Shipp was really excited to be speaking with Ricky. Ricky enjoyed his conversation with coach Shipp. Ricky is really excited about the offer because he loves the success that they've been having there at Oklahoma. Ricky also wants to take an unofficial trip there to check out campus."
Then later in the week, Heimuli added another offer from Cal.
"This is his fifth from the Pac-10," Heimuli said about his brother. "He was offered over the phone from defensive line coach, coach Tosh Lupoi. Ricky and coach Lupoi have been in contact through e-mail. Ricky is going to try and plan an unofficial visit there within the next couple of weeks."
Penn State and USC are also in contact and hinted offers might not be the far away. Heimuli will be in Los Angeles this upcoming weekend for the NIKE Training Camp at USC.
BYU, Cal, Colorado, Michigan State, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Oregon State, Stanford, UCLA, Utah, Washington and Utah State are the schools that have offered Heimuli so far. As a junior, Heimuli had 40 tackles and 10 tackles for a loss.
