Marietta (Ga.) Sprayberry safety Brynden Trawick has picked up additional scholarship offers during recent weeks and still is getting plenty of attention from a number of other programs.
The talented athlete, who runs a confirmed 4.51-second 40-yard dash, previously had picked up a scholarship offer from Ole Miss and another Southeastern Conference program from the Magnolia State joined the race for his services last week.
"I got one from Mississippi State last Saturday," he said. "I went down there for an unofficial visit and I was talking to (Bulldogs head coach) Sylvester Croom and he told me that they were fixing to offer me a scholarship."
Several things stood out to Trawick during his time in Starkville.
"I like the school," he said. "It was more than I expected. They have real good academics, real good coaches."
Boston College of the Atlantic Coast Conference also stepped up with an offer.
"I was talking to (Eagles recruiter) Ryan Day and he said that Boston College is going to offer me," he said. "I haven't been up there to take a visit, but I plan to in the near future."
Trawick was on the campus of Florida State this past weekend for the Tallahassee NIKE Camp, where he competed against some of the top prospects in the Southeast.
"Things went real well," he said. "It was competitive. There are a lot of good players out there. There were a lot of competitive players. I think I did o.k. in the one-on-one drills. I wouldn't say that it was an "A" day, I would say that it was more of a "B" day."
