More offers for Edwards

Three-star running back Augustus Edwards of Staten Island (N.Y.) Totenville continues to reel in the offers during the Spring Evaluation Period. He is also receiving serious interest from a host of other top programs, including Alabama which may have an interesting proposition for him.
"Recruiting has been moving fast," said Edwards. "I think I got five offers in the last two weeks. N.C. State, Maryland and Boston College are my last three."

These three join previous offers from schools like Connecticut, Indiana, Purdue, Pittsburgh, Rutgers, Syracuse, Vanderbilt and Virginia.
Edwards, 6-foot-1 and 222-pounds, shared a few thoughts about the Boston College offer, since they were his most recent one on Tuesday.
"I think they're a very good program and they win games in their conference," said Edwards, who is 6-foot-1 and 222-pounds.
Aside from who has already offered, Edwards believes that there is a deep pool of schools close to joining the list.
"Miami, Wisconsin, West Virginia and Alabama, although I feel Alabama is going to recruit me on defense," said Edwards, who discussed this possibility. "It would be for safety or linebacker. I would like to play running back in college, but I would never shy away from defense if it is for the better."
Last weekend Edwards attended the Nike Camp in Baltimore.
"It was a great opportunity to see the competition," said Edwards. "I think I did great."
