More offers coming for Barber

According to three-star running back Peyton Barber of Alpharetta (Ga.) Milton, he probably will trim his list of possible schools "within the next month or so."
By then, he might have even more offers than he already holds.

"Tennessee said they're going to offer me sometime this week," Barber said. "So did Penn State. Tennessee says they like the way I run. They've got a new coach [from last year] and he wants to see my film. They changed their recruiting coordinator for my area. Penn State is basically telling me the same thing. By the end of the week, I should have an offer."
The 5-feet-10, 210-pound Barber has more than a dozen offers at the moment. Thus far in 2012, he has visited Clemson, Georgia Tech, Kentucky and Ole Miss.
"Ole Miss stood out … and so did Clemson and Georgia Tech," Barber said. "Just the way their coaching is. The way they're recruiting me straight-forward. They're not going to sugarcoat anything and not going to promise a bunch of stuff and not come through."
Next up for Barber is a trip this Friday to Ole Miss. In July, he plans to check out Arizona State, another school he said is in the mix.
Barber missed half of the 2011 season with a high ankle sprain. He is now 100 percent, he said.
