More major offers come for Glennon

Following a solid showing at the Penn State Nike Camp over the weekend, Centreville (Va.) Westfield quarterback Mike Glennon continues to gain offers. In the past few days, the 6-foot-6, 188-pounder added four new scholarships to his stack increasing his total to nine.
"I got an offer in the mail on Friday from Rutgers," he said. "Then I got verbals from Michigan, Purdue and Florida State after the camp.

"Obviously, all four of those schools are big-time. Rutgers is up and coming and proved that last year, Purdue lets their quarterbacks throw the ball around, Michigan produces quarterbacks and Florida State is known for being a powerhouse."
In recent weeks, major schools from the ACC and Big Ten have offered. Has it surprised Glennon?
"It's always exciting to get offers from Miami, Florida State and Michigan," he said. "It's been interesting. I was hoping to get them and none were in contact, but all of the sudden the offers came."
On Saturday, the Commonwealth prospect made his way to State College.
"I did pretty well there," he said. "It was good to compete against the top quarterbacks on the East Coast and go against guys like E.J. Manuel. I think I faired well and showed schools what my talent is all about."
At this time, Glennon only has one camp planned this summer to North Carolina State.
Is there a favorite yet for him?
"I still think everyone is kind of the same," he said. "These offers are opening my eyes and shows I have more options. It's making things tougher; every new offer makes my decision a lot more difficult."
