More looks for JUCO LB

Linebacker Stephen Johnson of Los Angeles Pierce College recently took an unofficial visit to a Pac-10 program and has been getting serious attention from a number of other Division I-A schools.
The 6-foot-1, 235-pounder, who played at Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) Dillard in high school, made an unofficial visit to Oregon in recent weeks.

"It was fun," Johnson said. "I liked the coaches. They seemed like nice people. I also liked the players. They seemed nice, too. We watched the spring game and chilled with the players. I was talking with them after the game."
Oregon was Johnson's first unofficial visit. He is still waiting on his first official scholarship offer.
LSU, Illinois, Louisville, Texas A&M and Nebraska have been showing Johnson strong interest. He talked about the Tigers, Aggies and Huskers.
D.J. McCarthy is recruiting Johnson for LSU.
"(McCarthy) tells me that I am high on their list for the linebacker position," Johnson said. "I would very much be interested in them (if they offered). They would rate highly for me."
Mark Tommerdahl is recruiting Johnson for the Aggies.
"He tells me that they like my film," he said. "He said he was going to let me know and show it to the rest of the coaching staff."
Nebraska assistant Kevin Cosgrove has been in touch.
"I just talk to them," he said. "I like Nebraska. Bryan Wilson came out of Pierce College out here just like me, so he's told me what it's like up there with all of the fans and things like that."
Johnson had 114 tackles as a freshman at Pierce last season.
