More interest for Martinez

Grant Martinez has two offers and is hearing from a lot more college coaches so the Scottsdale (Ariz.) Notre Dame Prep tight end is getting excited about his prospects after spring practice.
The 6-foot-5, 210-pound recruit has offers from Oregon State and Army so far and is hearing from Duke, Rice, UCLA, Oregon, Stanford, Arizona, Arizona State, Northwestern and Air Force.

With so much interest, Martinez hopes a good showing in spring practice can lead to more offers.
"It's extremely motivating," Martinez said. "It's a great opportunity to get more offers from some great colleges. I would love to attend all of them and it's getting me fired up to do really well in spring ball.
"I'm pretty much focused on the spring. I think after the spring when they get to see me and once I get a few more offers I can narrow down my list maybe, take some visits then and see which colleges I'm really interested in."
Since there are so many opportunities out there, Martinez said he does not want to name any frontrunners because he doesn't want to limit his options.
Coaches are coming out in the spring and he's hoping more offers come in and then he can look at some visits and name some leaders.
In his junior season, Martinez finished with 36 receptions for 411 yards and six touchdowns. He is a three-star prospect by Rivals.com.
