More interest coming for Iowa TE

West Des Moines (Iowa) Dowling Catholic Trent Flander has just one offer so far, but the interest he is receiving continues to grow.
“I do have a scholarship offer from Iowa State,” the 6-foot-4, 230-pound Flander said. “I’m getting a lot of interest from Iowa, Kansas, Indiana, Notre Dame, Kansas State and Northwestern. I also just started to get mail from Miami.”

Flander has a few camps in mind for this summer.
“I am going to go to the Iowa State and Notre Dame camps,” he said. “I will also probably go to the Kansas and Iowa one day camps.”
Flander plays tight end and is being recruited for that position right now, but is open to a change if that is what the school needs.
“I’d like to stay at tight end, but whatever the school wants,” he said. “They are the ones that are going to be paying for my schooling. If they want me to move and think it is what is best for the team, then that’s fine.”
Flander is wanting to major in physical therapy in college.
“The education is my first priority,” he said. “I am worried about my education. I want to get my degree. I want to find a school where I can do that and enjoy my time as a football player.”
Flander finished his junior season with 12 catches for 215 yards and four touchdowns.
