More coming for Mixon

Joe Mixon continues to hear from plenty of schools and two programs that have not offered yet - Alabama and Oregon - should be coming to his high school as the spring evaluation continues.
An offer from the Crimson Tide and the Ducks would be huge for Mixon, who earned the offensive MVP at the Los Angeles Rivals Camp and also dominated at the recent Passing Down Best of the West 7on7 in Southern California.

"I heard from Alabama and they said they're coming by," Mixon said. "I'm not sure when they're doing that. The coach from Oregon said they're coming by next Thursday so I'm hoping to see that offer."
Oregon has been a program closely watched by Mixon for a long time and an offer from the Ducks would move them much higher on his list.
It's a similar situation with Alabama especially since that team has utilized big backs and at 6-foot-2 and 207 pounds, Mixon definitely falls into that category.
"If (Oregon) doesn't offer then I have to go with the schools that did offer," MIxon said." If they do I know it would be big. They have a great history and I've been looking at them since I was a little kid.
" (Alabama) is definitely looking more into me. They're making their way out here."
Mixon, who could make a healthy move up in the next round of Rivals.com rankings, said Wisconsin, Washington, Georgia, Ohio State, Notre Dame and Texas continue to stay the most involved in his recruitment.
Official visits are being seriously considered to Wisconsin, Georgia and Oklahoma and then the four-star running back is looking at taking his two others as well.
Depending on which offers come in the next few months could determine his official visit schedule in the fall.
"Those are going to be the visits right there," Mixon said. "Those are three of them and then I'll have two more but I haven't really been thinking about visits yet."
