More camps for Mathis

Three-star athlete Rashad Mathis out of Valdosta (Ga.) Valwood has started up his summer camp season. The 6-foot-2, 175-pounder has one offer and is camping at another school this week that he hopes will add to his total.
"I've only got one offer from Louisville," he said. "It's a great school and they have a great coaching staff. I'd be happy to go there.

I haven't visited yet, but I'm going to their camp later this summer."
Meanwhile, other schools including Mississippi State, Georgia Tech, Georgia, South Carolina, Clemson and more continue to be interested.
Mathis is just coming off of camps at Mississippi State and Georgia Tech.
"They went pretty well," he said. "I did very well. The coaches didn't say much, but they'll get back to me."
Mathis plans to head to Clemson this week, which is a school he has strong feelings towards.
"I'm on my way to Clemson for their camp," he said. "I like Clemson a lot. They've got a great coaching staff and have a good recruiting class. They are a great school. They just told me they want me to come to camp."
The versatile athlete is still feeling out his recruiting process.
"I just want to feel wanted wherever I go," he said. "I want to feel a connection between the players and everything. Location isn't a really big deal to me. I want to get away from home if I can though."
Mathis earned all-region honors after posting approximately 500 total yards and 15 touchdowns as a junior. He's primarily getting looks as a defensive back and wide receiver from colleges.
