More Big Ten love for Emilien

The momentum is building for Lauderhill (Fla.) Plantation safety Vladimir Emilien. The 6-foot-1 190-pounder picked up his first offer from UConn just a few weeks ago and now already has three more under his belt, including two from the Big Ten.
Emilien had picked up a verbal offer from the Ohio State Buckeyes not long ago and recently he received the paperwork along with the written offer from USF that he was expecting and one more offer he wasn't expecting.

"The University of Minnesota offered me," he said. "It just hit me out of the blue today when they called coach. Out of the blue they just offered."
Emilien has more to learn about the Gophers but the Florida native has stated that he is not opposed to playing in the Big Ten, evidenced by his interest in the Buckeyes.
"Ohio State I'm thinking about very highly because I feel that I could be a big time player at Ohio State," he said. "I can play free safety and I have a lot of speed and can cover. Basically I feel like it would give me a better chance of making it to the NFL."
With Minnesota handing him an offer and Ohio State high on his list, there is still more Big Ten interest for Emilien.
"Over the summer I'm looking to visit Michigan and Texas if they offer me," he said. "Michigan I haven't really heard from them but they've started talking about me, trying to see if I'm worth recruiting."
Emilien is also hoping to hear from Texas and Georgia in the recruiting process but at this point he is excited to be getting the attention he deserves.
"It's starting to get exciting because I know it's just starting to heat up," he said. "I gotta stay in a modest mood and I'm just happy that people are starting to recognize my talent."
Emilien has been staying in shape recently by running track where he runs a 22 second 200 and a sub-50 second 400. He also plans to get up to Columbus Ohio to visit for the Spring Game in April This week, he will be taking a look at USF as well.
