This might have been a quiet time for 2015 quarterback Ricky Town but ever since his sophomore season ended more programs have gotten more involved in his recruitment.
The Ventura (Calif.) St. Bonaventure standout said Arizona and Arizona State have recently reached out and while neither has offered there is much more interest.
Plus, Town said Alabama is supposed to visit him soon as well, adding to the intrigue that his recruitment will surely deliver in the coming years.
"Arizona was just at my school and I talked to Rich Rodriguez," Town said. "That was really cool and then Arizona State was there, too, and I talked to them. I also got a call from Alabama and they said they're coming out to check me out and say hello.
"It's going pretty well. There are no new offers or anything but a lot of colleges are coming by and saying hello."
Town's teammate, Zachary Green, is headed to Arizona so his talks with Rodriguez were especially interesting. The Wildcats have not offered the 6-foot-4, 190-pound recruit but said they'll be keeping an eye on him.
So far, Town has landed offers from UCLA and Miami.
"(Rodriguez) said he was definitely interested and he liked what he saw from me," Town said. "He said what a lot of the coaches are saying, that he wants to see me perform at a camp. They liked what they saw from me this season."
A camp schedule is being drafted and Town isn't sure of all his stops yet but two schools in particular will get him on campus. The 2015 prospect said other trips are definitely possible but two are for sure.
"So far I'm planning to go to Stanford and Alabama," Town said.
"Those are the two I'm for sure going to camp at but other schools I'm not really sure about yet."
