More attention for Dixon

The holidays could mean a slow time for recruiting news but not for Bryce Dixon, one of the top tight ends in the 2014 class who already has a bunch of offers and is hearing from three new programs.
Oregon, Arizona State and Tennessee have recently reached out to the Ventura (Calif.) St. Bonaventure standout and he's excited that more teams are getting involved.

The focus is not solely on football recruiting at this time of year but soon Dixon will take a closer look at all the schools recruiting him and maybe look at some unofficial visits as well.
"ASU asked me to come out to their junior day," Dixon said. "Oregon is telling me they could be close to offering me so I'm just waiting for that one. And Tennessee just recently added me on Facebook.
"I'm in basketball right now so there probably won't be anything until after basketball. That's when I'll start really focusing on everything."
So far, the 6-foot-4, 230-pound four-star prospect has landed offers from Arizona, Cal, Colorado, Miami, Ohio State, UCLA and Vanderbilt.
A lot of programs are already involved with Dixon but he doesn't want to make any rushed decisions so the Ventura St. Bonaventure standout is going to take his time and let his recruitment play out.
Still, things are going incredibly well early on for Dixon and he's happy about where his recruitment is headed. Visits will be important though so the 2014 prospect is hesitant to name favorites this early.
"They're all about the same to me right now," Dixon said. "This is all really cool though."
