Moran gets a taste of Oregon State

Mason Moran committed to Oregon State in the summer shortly after picking up the scholarship offer and he visited campus again over the weekend to see the Beavers take on Colorado.
The three-star dual-threat quarterback from Chandler, Ariz., was accompanied by teammate Chase Lucas, a four-star athlete and Rivals250 member, and said he did his best to continue "building the dam" by doing his share of recruiting.

The Beavers fell to remain winless in Pac-12 Conference play, yet Moran said the trip was not tainted and he got a great feel for how the coaching staff would use him in the offense once he steps foot on campus.

IN HIS WORDS: "It was super cool," Moran told Rivals.com. "The coaches were all really cool guys and it was great getting some cooler weather since it's in the 90s back home. I loved the atmosphere and I can't wait to get started up here.
"The coaches definitely want me to come in and compete. With the spread, read-option offense they run, it's just perfect because it's what we run at my high school right now. It would also be great to get some of my teammates up here. I talk to Chase about it all the time. He really did like it at Oregon State, and I would love for him to join me. I know he's got another official visit set to Nebraska later on and it's going to take some time for him to decide, but I'll definitely continue working."
