Moosman talks about his exciting weekend

Libertyville, Ill. four star ranked offensive guard prospect David Moosman (6-foot-5, 270 pounds) will be heading back to very familiar territory this coming Saturday.
"I'm heading back to Champaign this weekend," Moosman said. "I'm pretty familiar with Champaign since this is our second straight Class 7A state final appearance, plus I've been in Champaign for the state wrestling finals as well. I'll stay at the same hotel as I always do in Champaign."

Moosman talks about making his second straight appearance in the Class 7A state title game this Saturday against Cary-Grove.
"This week we'll be practicing at Carmel High School since they have the same turf that's at Memorial Stadium, so that's going to be pretty cool. It's going to be a really quick week this week. We have school on Monday and Tuesday, and that will just fly by this week. Our team is so geared up to play again in Champaign. I played on both offense and defense against Rolling Meadows and I'm expecting to play both ways again this week. That's just fine with me, and I'll do whatever it takes to win a state title this week."
So is heading to the state finals for the second straight year feel the same?
"It's definitely a different feeling this year. Last year I think that we focused so much on just getting to the state final game we sort of were in awe of everything. Right after losing in the state finals last year the seniors really stepped up on this team and we've been working for this since this time last year. Last year it wasn't my team as a junior, but now it's our time. Last year we wanted to get as far as we could in the playoffs, but this year we know that we'll need to win one more game before we can celebrate. I really think we now know what it takes to win a state title, and I think it's a big advantage for us to have already been there."
Moosman also made an unofficial visit to the Wisconsin/Iowa game on Saturday.
"The Iowa game was great. I had a really good time and the fans at Iowa were great. I'm glad that I had a chance to see the game day experience in Iowa City."
Moosman is also in the process of having several in-home visitors soon.
"I know that Wisconsin, Iowa and Notre Dame have talked about making an in-home visits soon. We haven't set any dates on those just yet because I'll need to see how my wrestling schedule looks like right after the football season."
Moosman has official visits set for Wisconsin on December 3rd, Michigan on December 10th, Iowa on December 17th and Notre Dame on January 15th.
