Moore quiets the commitment rumors

A newspaper report came out Tuesday afternoon that Tatum, Texas athlete Darnius Moore had made his college choice.
Apparently, that wasn't what happened. After hearing from several people wishing him congrats on making a commitment to Tennessee, he had to calm the waters and explain that there were still several things to go before pulling the trigger. In fact, Moore has set up three official visits for January.

"No, that didn't happen," Moore said about the rumor of his commitment to the Volunteers. "I'm still looking around and I don't have any leaders right now."
The schools he is looking at include Oklahoma, Tennessee, Florida, and Arkansas. The Sooners were the only school receive an official visit so far back on Oct. 20.
"I'm going to Tennessee on Jan. 13," Moore said. "I'm supposed to go to Arkansas on Jan. 19 and then Florida will be that next weekend (Jan. 26). Then I'll probably go ahead and make an announcement after those trips."
Recruitment hasn't been the only big news for Moore and his Tatum teammates. They recently won their second straight state title two weeks ago.
Moore said the second time around is different than the first big victory.
"It wasn't as thrilling because we had been there before," Moore said. "It feels the same though after it's all said and done. It was pretty much a blow out. We just watched the clock go out."
So was it the senior year that he expected?
"Yes sir," he said. "It pretty much was."
