Moore picks up another SEC offer

Coconut Creek (Fla.) North Broward Prep wide receiver Mike Moore was another surprise visitor at this weekend’s camp at Georgia. As it turns out, taking the visit was a good decision as Moore got some good news from the UGA staff.
“The camp went real good,” Moore said. “They showed us around and I got a real good feel for the city and all of that. I felt like I did really well there. I felt like going in that if I brought my best game I could go up there and put on a show and I feel like I did.”

The 6-foot-2, 187-pound Moore runs the 40-yard dash in 4.53 seconds and has an incredible 3.97 shuttle.
“For most of the first day I was there they had me playing defensive back and I thought I did pretty good there,” Moore said. “Toward the end of the second day they wanted me to play some wide receiver. I got up there in one on ones and only got to run two plays before the camp was over and I wanted to do more.
Coach Richt was standing there watching me when I was doing those one on one drills so I knew that I had better do well. After that (wide receivers) coach Eason came up to me and told me that they were going to talk to coach Richt about offering. Later, coach Richt called me into his office and told me that they were offering.”
As a junior, Moore caught 42 passes for 850 yards and 16 touchdowns while recording 35 tackles and six interceptions on defense.
“I haven’t narrowed it down too much, but I would say that Georgia is a very high contender right now,” Moore said. “I can guarantee that right now they are slated to get one of my official visits.”
