Moore has change of heart

Just a week ago, we talked to Harbor City (Calif.) Narbonne defensive back Byron Moore following his standout showing at the USC Rising Stars Camp. Moore, a UCLA commit at the time, said his commitment was solid but if the Trojans offered, he would have to think about it. Well the Trojans did offer and Moore has since had a change of heart.
"Yep, I'm a Trojan now," Moore said moments ago. "I'm very excited about my decision and excited to be going to USC. For me, I've always liked USC a lot, they were my favorite school growing up.

"I had a great time at the camp working with the coaches and getting to know some of the recruits there. I've known Morrell Presley forever and he's basically the one who got me to the camp. He has been talking to me about going to USC and like I said, I've always followed SC, ever since I was seven years old.
"I just had to follow my heart and my heart was pointing me to USC. It was a tough decision because UCLA is a great school and a great place. They gave me a great opportunity and I'm thankful to them for that.
"I love the coaches at UCLA and I thank them for all they have done for me but I just couldn't pass up the chance to play for my dream school, this is truly a dream come true for me."
Moore said he first heard he was being offered late last week.
"I called up Coach Norton on Thursday and he told me they were offering," Moore said. "I'm going up to the campus later today to meet with all the coaches in person but I'm a Trojan and it feels great right now. I told Coach Norton the phone but I want to do it in person too. I want to be able to tell Coach Carroll and the rest of the guys but they already know and are excited to have me."
