El Dorado (Kan.) Butler County Community College three-star offensive tackle Sherrone Moore has always been a Midwestern boy. Growing up in Kansas and attending juco in Kansas, he knows he's destined to not stray too far from home when he picks a college.
That's why he said he's truly excited about his official visit to Oklahoma this weekend.
"I'm really looking forward to the game," Moore, who is 6-foot-5 and 300 pounds, said. "I want to see the game, the facilities and what it's like to be in the town. All these years growing up not too far away, I've never been down there. I watched Oklahoma and Texas growing up, but never went to any of the games."
Moore said he's also looking forward to a visit to Oklahoma State on December 9. Oklahoma has put Kevin Wilson in charge of recruiting him, and Oklahoma State has Joe Wickline recruiting him.
Moore hinted last week there might be a chance he could commit to Oklahoma on his visit this weekend. He said he still has the thought in his mind, but it will depend on how the visit goes.
"I think it's going to come down to how the visit feels," he said. "If things go well, and I really like it, I could see myself committing. My mom is going with me, and she wants to see the educational aspect of the school. I want to major in business.
"If she likes it and I get a good feel, then I could see myself going ahead and committing. They've always been up there for me."
