Junior To Watch: AQ Shipley

School: Moon Township (PA) Moon Area

Position: Defensive tackle/center

Size and speed: Shipley is 6-foot-3 and 275 pounds. He runs the 40-yard dash in 4.9 seconds.

Honors: Shipley was named all-state and was a unanimous selection for all-conference for the third straight season.

Statistics: Shipley recorded 70 total tackles, 17 tackles for loss, and five sacks at defensive tackle while making 97 pancake blocks as a center.

Favorite schools: Pitt, Penn State, Michigan State, Michigan, Ohio State, West Virginia, Syracuse, North Carolina

Skinny: Shipley is one of the top two-way linemen on the east coast. He has already received offers from Pitt, Penn State, Michigan State, Syracuse, North Carolina, West Virginia and a few MAC schools. Ohio State has been in contact with Shipley quite a bit recently and the Buckeyes are making a good impression upon him.

"They're the defending national champs so that's going to get your attention," he said. "They're a great program."

However, Shipley is taking a look at everyone.

"I'm going to weigh all my options and see who offers me before I start to narrow things down," he said. "Obviously the local schools and the Big Ten programs are attractive, but I need to take a look at everything."
