Monticello CB emerging
Michael Brown is a star prospect coming out of Monticello High School in Charlottesville, Va., in 2007, but don't overlook cornerback Rod Jackson. The 5-foot-11, 170-pounder is getting looks of his own.
"He is getting a lot of the same letters as Michael from schools like Virginia, Virginia Tech, Maryland, North Carolina, North Carolina State, Syracuse, Kansas State and others," said Monticello head coach Brud Bicknell. "It's early in the process and hard to tell just how genuine the interest is at this time."

Last season Jackson was named second team all-district after intercepting three passes despite not having too many thrown his way.
"Rod has great closing speed and is a fearless player that has a cornerback's mentality," he said. "He will come up and hit you and is good at run support. I believe he is the type of player that will continue to keep getting better.
"For much of his sports career Rod has fancied himself a basketball player, but I think he is finally figuring out he'll be a football player at the next level."
