Montgomery talks about the latest

Winter Park (Fla.) wide receiver D'Vario Montgomery is well over 20 offers at this point but recently added two SEC powerhouses.
"Some of the more recent offers for me are Alabama and LSU," Montgomery said. "I talk to the receiver coach (Mike Groh) at Alabama. To get an offer from them, it means a lot because they are a big school. With LSU, I talked to Coach Bill (Billy Gonzales) and that offer meant a lot to me because that is home."

Montgomery also holds offers from Cincinnati, Duke, East Carolina, Florida, Florida International, Florida State, Georgia, Illinois, Iowa State, Louisville, Miami, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Rutgers, South Carolina, South Florida, Tennessee, Texas A&M, UCF, Wake Forest, and West Virginia.
At this point in his recruitment, he has not been able to visit schools but he knows of a few places that he wants to see.
"I haven't been to any schools yet," Montgomery said. "I don't have any plans to see any schools right now. I know I want to eventually visit UCF, Alabama, LSU, USF, Oregon, and Georgia."
He has previously mentioned an interest in seeing Rutgers and South Carolina as well.
Before making a decision, Montgomery said he has to do more research and in-person evaluations of the schools he is interested in. He does have a criteria for what will make a school the right place for him to take his talents.
"I want to find a school with the right academics, sports, and the relationship with my coaches," Montgomery said.
The Sunshine State prospect is open to leaving Florida for college, and said that he isn't in a rush to crown one school as his eventual landing spot.
"As of right now, to be honest, I'm just going to go wherever my mind leads me," Montgomery said.
A decision isn't likely to come until into January of 2012.
"I think after the all-star game," Montgomery said.
At this point, Montgomery isn't yet on the roster for an all-star event but he expects to be participating in one of the nation's best all-star games when January rolls around.
As a junior, Montgomery had 48 receptions for 1,100 yards and 13 touchdowns. On defense, he had three interceptions and eight sacks.
