Montgomery picks up offers number five

Steven Montgomery picked up his fifth scholarship offer earlier today. This latest one came from the West Virginia Mountaineers. Montgomery, 5-10 and 184 pounds, is a defensive back from Miramar, Fla.
"The offers seem to be coming on real fast," Montgomery said. "Today I got one from West Virginia. They got all over me when I transferred to Miramar a few weeks. I spoke with the West Virginia coaches back then and then today they offered me. They said they really liked me.

"I know that West Virginia kind of has a pipeline to Miramar with some of the kids they have signed from here recently like Geno (Eugene Smith) and Stedman (Bailey). I know they have a good program, they have gone to the BCS and they win."
Will Montgomery pay a visit to Morgantown?
"I think I will get there for sure this summer. It will likely be one of the first three weeks in June for a camp."
Montgomery now has offers from West Virginia, Minnesota, Maryland, UCF and Western Kentucky. Does one team stand out above the others?
"I guess I have certain favorites right now but no one really has an advantage at this time. I want to condense things after spring ball. I will sit down with my family and cut down my list."
