Montgomery back from Chapel Hill

Greenwood, South Carolina defensive end Sam Montgomery is one of the top uncommitted prospects in the nation and is at the top of several recruiting boards.
The 6-foot-4, 230-pound four-star prospect from the Palmetto State took an unofficial visit to Chapel Hill for North Carolina's big game against Notre Dame. He took in the Tar Heels riveting 29-24 win and had plenty of positive things to say about the experience once he returned home.

"It was just a great trip," Montgomery said on Sunday evening. "I loved the atmosphere and going behind the scenes after the game. It was great that they pulled off the big win over Notre Dame. I loved the people there.
"I got there pretty late so I just went to the game. After the game I talked to the players, Coach John Blake and the head coach, then we went out on Franklin Street. I could definitely see myself being there. Most definitely."
It was just an unofficial visit for Montgomery, but he said he would like to also take an official visit back to North Carolina. He has not yet set up any of those official visits but said he would like to start taking them in about three weeks.
"UNC is just feels a lot more comfortable than some places. It's just a great place. I felt great about the whole thing and about John Blake.
"He's a very good coach. He's like big papa, a brother and a best friend. He's going to work you hard and get you where you want to go. He's going to be your best friend and he's going to do what's best for you."
Montgomery said he is remaining open to the schools he has mentioned in the recent past. He plans on making his decision after he has taken all of his official visits.
