Montalvo ready for re-match
The Woodlands, Texas, linebacker A.J. Montalvo contributed in demolishing the Eisenhower Eagles last Friday. On his week off while preparing for the state final rematch against North Shore High School, he had a chance to focus on recruiting.
“I’ve been getting some calls lately and some letters and media guides,” he said. “The most interested right now is Navy, Duke, Utah State, Columbia, Houston and Texas Tech.”

Montalvo has started as a sophomore for the Highlanders and wants to see his football dreams carry over to college.
“I really want to play football in college and know I will,” he said. “I hope to have some options when it comes to signing day. I really like Texas A&M, Baylor, Duke, Rice and Utah State.”
As for this season, next week’s game against their 2003 foe is their primary focus.
“Let’s just say that game has been circled for a while,” he said.
