Momah has terrific trip to Syracuse

Tight end Ifeanyi Momah out of Elwood (N.Y.) John Glenn took his first official visit of the season to Syracuse last weekend. The 6-foot-6, 220-pounder didn't have an offer going into the visit, does he have one coming out of the trip?
"The visit went really well," he stated. "I got there on Friday and mostly hung out with coach Robinson at dinner and then I met the basketball coach Jim Boeheim. On Saturday, I went around the academic wing and then took in the basketball game against Villanova. That was pretty intense; it was a really nice experience.

"At night I hung out with my host defensive tackle Arthur Jones. He's a great guy, he introduced me to all the players and I had a good time with them. He told me a lot about coach Robinson too. He said that he's a real nice guy and doesn't just act like that on visits, he always acts friendly. He then told me about how the new staff is building up the program and they should be really good in a couple years."
Momah spent some time with the coaches as well including coach Salgado, White and Russ.
"I talked to all of them, but I definitely liked coach Russ," he said. "He talked about technique and tackling and stuff like that.
"After all that, I was able to talk to coach Robinson. I think it went well. He talked about my recruiting class and what the situation is with an offer. He said I'll have to wait a little while until they find out about four other people. He said it could be between a week and a month."
Overall, the Empire State prospect rated his trip to Syracuse a 10.
"I had a really, really good time," he said. "I enjoyed myself and they are definitely on the top of my list and my No. 1 choice."
Next up for Momah is a trip to Connecticut this weekend.
"I just want to go there and see the facilities, academics and have a discussion with the coaches about the position I'd be playing," he said. "I also want to get a feel for the area and team."
One new school has jumped into the mix for Momah in Clemson.
"Clemson called me in the last couple days and they want to see my tape and transcript," he said. "They said they'll take a look at my tape and then see what happens from there."
