Mom impressed with trip

Some times the biggest key to winning over a recruit is winning over mom. And Oklahoma State did a great job of that this weekend with Tanisa Standberry, mother of three-star tight end Tremaine Standberry of Lewisville, Texas.
“What jumped out to me as a mother was that Oklahoma State had things set up around academics first,” Tanisa Standberry said. “The first thing we did when we got there was see how they did things with their academics, instead of showing us all the football stuff. It wasn’t like that on our other official visit.

“Coach Miles had been in our home prior to the visit, so it was neat to see how he was with his players and other coaches.”
That other visit was to LSU a few weeks back, and Standberry had said last week that LSU and Oklahoma State were his final two teams, but…
“We’re going to Arizona next week,” Standberry said. “I’ve been out there a few times and it’s a really neat campus.”
Standberry was also linked to Arkansas, but his mother did not mention the Hawgs in this update.
