Modster planning Arizona trips

Devon Modster is having a strong junior season and slowly his recruitment is picking up.
The 2016 three-star quarterback from Mission Viejo (Calif.) Tesoro has already landed an offer from Arizona and Modster said UCLA and Arizona State have started to show much more interest.

Modster, rated as the No. 21 quarterback in the 2016 class by Rivals.com, plans to visit Arizona and Arizona State later this month.
The trip to Tucson is especially important because the Wildcats have already offered and he's been talking most regularly with co-offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Rod Smith.
"I'm excited to see what they have and how the campus is and see how everyone is around there," Modster said. "Coach Rod (Smith) usually messages me on Twitter every week just to see how I'm doing and to see who I'm playing this week and everything.
"They run the spread and I've been watching their games and I like their offense a lot.
"I was talking to (Arizona State) a lot before the season. It's not as much now. I just talked to Mike Norvell and I told him I was going to be in the area so he said I could come and check it out. I'm going to go there and see how it is."
The three-star quarterback is expected to visit Arizona for its game against Washington later this month. A few days later, Modster is expected to head over to Tempe and check out what Arizona State has to offer as well.
The Tesoro standout has also been in more regular contact with UCLA and it seems like the Bruins have stepped up interest recently.
"I've been talking to coach Taylor Mazzone," Modster said. "We've just been talking and trying to get to know each other. It's still preliminary."
