MN dual-threat QB has a plan

Plymouth, Minn. dual threat quarterback prospect Mitch Brecke (6-foot-0, 175 pounds) showed his all around quarterbacking skills as a junior in 2003 for Maple Grove High School. Brecke amassed over 2,000 yards of total offense in 2003, and Brecke has drawn serious recruiting interest this spring.
“Recruiting-wise, things have been going well," Mitch Brecke said. “I've been getting steady mail from Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, Army, Navy as well as interest from North Dakota State. Minnesota and NDSU have been sending me hand-written letters."

Brecke also is looking at several different factors in helping him decide on a potential school. "Location for me isn't a real big deal. At this point I'm looking for a chance to play and a chance to prove myself on the college level. Academics are also important, and I'm planning to major in finance, and I'm starting to look at each school's finance programs. I'm also looking for a school that is a comfortable fit for me and a school that makes me feel like I belong."
Brecke also has his spring and summer plans set. "I've been to the University of Minnesota twice for junior days, and Iowa and Minnesota as well as NDSU have invited me for spring games. I might go to the NDSU spring game on April 24th, but I'm not sure that I'll be able to make the Iowa or Minnesota spring games. I'm also going to the Nike Training Camp in Iowa City, Iowa on May 16th. This summer I'm planning on camping at Iowa and Minnesota."
