Mizzou making push for safety

The Missouri Tigers’ impressive season has helped them make some inroads with one of Arkansas’ top prospects.
Three-star Little Rock (Ark.) Pulaski Academy safety Stephen Green says he’s in the process of scheduling an official visit with Mizzou.

“They’ve come on real strong,” he said. “They’re having a great season. I got to see them for the first time last weekend (a 62-31 shellacking of Texas Tech), and I love the way they play. I think they’re a program that’s coming up.
“I also like the coach who's recruiting me. Every time coach Yost calls, we talk for about 25-30 minutes. He’s real easy to talk to, and anytime I have questions about anything, he explains things real well. He’s a real knowledgeable guy.”
Green (5-11, 180, 4.4) appeared to be leaning toward Nebraska at one point, but now says it’s more of a three-team race.
“I’m looking at Missouri, Nebraska and Iowa right now for visits,” he said. “And maybe LSU, Tennessee or Ole Miss. But those three haven’t offered yet.”
Asked where the home state Razorbacks stand, Green said: “I don’t know. They’re still in the mix, but kind of fading. They haven’t called in a while.”
Green has helped lead Pulaski Academy to a 6-2 record this season. He didn’t know his full statistics, but said he’s had a 10-carry, 196-yard rushing game with three touchdowns on offense, and a 14-tackle, one-sack, one-forced fumble game on defense.
He projects as a full-qualifier with a 2.6 GPA and a 19 on the ACT.
