"I really don't have a big, favorite school. I've been to Syracuse, Pitt, West Virginia, Ohio State, and Penn State so far."
"This summer I'm going west and south. I'm going to go see Ohio State, Wisconsin, Iowa, Michigan State, Notre Dame, places like that."
"And I'm going to fly down to Florida to see Miami and Florida State."
"I have 17 offers so far. All those schools except Notre Dame have offered. I'm going to take my time and do my research. I'll start to narrow it down at the end of the summer."
The 6-foot-6 and 265 pound Mitchum, from Erie (Pa.) McDowell, started at both offensive and defensive tackle during his junior season. He registered nine sacks. Mitchum, who bench presses 325 pounds and has a 2.7 GPA, is one of the Big Ten region's top line prospects.
