Missouri TE making waves

As recruiting winds down for the 2008 class, things have just started heating up for Blue Springs, (Mo.) South tight end Kellen Bartlett.
"I've been hearing from a bunch of D-II schools and then Utah State has offered me," Bartlett said.

"Then Boise State is showing me a lot of interest, too. I'm going up on an official visit up there next weekend.
"Utah State offered me last weekend. I went up there for an official visit and they sat me down and told me they wanted me to come up there and play for them."
However, it's the possibility of an impending offer on his upcoming trip that has Bartlett really excited.
In fact, if that offer does come, the recruiting process could be over for the two-star prospect.
"Yeah I'd say there's a good chance that Boise State would be the school for me," Bartlett said. "It's a school I've been looking at for a while. If they do end up offering me, it's going to be hard to say no to that. I like what they've done the last couple years. They're just a really solid program. They win a lot and you can't argue with that."
If Boise State decides not to offer, then the decision narrows down to two schools.
"It will probably be between Utah State and Northwest Missouri State," Bartlett said.
While all the schools are recruiting him as a tight end, he excelled this year at defensive end as well.
"I was first-team all-state for offense and defense," he said. "I was first-team all-conference both ways again. I had 22 catches for around 373 yards and five touchdowns. I had like seven sacks and 11 tackles for loss. Then I think I had around 52 tackles."
