Missouri still the team to beat

Oklahoma City (Okla.) Millwood is loaded with talent and one of the guys that often get overlooked because of his talented teammates is Kevonte Richardson.
However, the 6-foot-2, 190-pound athlete has a slew of scholarship offers from Arizona, Colorado, Kansas, Louisiana Tech, Missouri, Tulsa, UNLV and Utah State.

At this point, Richardson isn't sure when a decision is going to come, but he does know what team he's leaning toward.
"Missouri," Richardson, who threw for 2,078 yards and 23 touchdowns as a junior, said. "I like their facilities, their coaching staff and everything. I don't know for sure right now when I'm going to commit, but I am thinking about it. I'm waiting to see if any more big schools offer me first. I'll probably wait it out for a couple more weeks."
Richardson said he would like to hear more from a few additional schools.
"Nebraska, of course," he said. "I'd also like to hear more from Texas Tech, Texas and Kansas State. I've talked to (offensive line) coach (Barney) Cotton, and I really do like him. Hopefully I go up there to visit and hopefully they'll offer me. They want me at safety.
"I want to see Kansas State, Nebraska, I would like to check Arizona out. Probably Texas."
Richardson said he's also heard from Texas A&M, Michigan, Oregon, Oregon State, UCLA and West Virginia in the mail. He also said academics are going to be the biggest thing he looks for in the perfect school.
"The athletic department comes second to that," he said. "Academics is what I'm looking for."
