Missouri LB made easy choice

It didn't take long for Columbia (Mo.) Rock Bridge linebacker Van Alexander to make his decision.

"Missouri offered Van a scholarship," Rock Bridge coach A.J. Ofodile said. "He committed to them in December."
It wasn't a difficult decision for the 6-foot-1, 210-pounder.
"He's wanted to go there all along. His father, Rick, played there so it wasn't a difficult choice for him."
Ofodile said Alexander knows he needs to work hard to continue to improve.
"He can't be satisfied with what he has right now. He needs to continue to work and get bigger and stronger. He's only 210 pounds right now. He knows he'll have to be bigger to play linebacker at Missouri."
Alexander also received interest from Illinois, Michigan, Kansas State, Kansas and Iowa.
"All of them were recruiting him as a linebacker except Michigan. They were looking at him as a fullback."
