Missouri joins the race for Daniel

Avon, Ind., four-star defensive end Elijah Daniel grew up watching the Southeastern Conference in his native Alabama. On Thursday he added an offer from the SEC's newest addition - Missouri.
"They had been sending me letters, but [Thursday] was the first time I actually talked to a coach," Daniel said. "The d-line coach was telling me about how nice the town was and that it was a great Communications school because I want to study Communication in college."

The offer from Missouri has sparked an interest from Daniel, and the 6-4, 253-pound prospect is looking at a possible visit to Columbia in the near future.
"It isn't that far from Indianapolis, so I will try to take a trip out there," Daniel said. "I know a little bit about Missouri. There could be a lot of interest down the road.
"One guy who came from there last year is balling out in the League - Aldon Smith. That kind of opened my eyes. The coach who coached Aldon Smith is the d-line coach and he is recruiting me now.
With the recent addition of Missouri to his list, Daniel estimates close to 20 total scholarship offers. Last month he listed Florida as his top school, but is having trouble coming up with a set list of favorites.
"I can say that about a lot of them," Daniel said. "All the teams I am talking to have me kind of excited in some way. Everyday it changes. I feel like I could commit next week, then I feel like I should just wait, so I don't know yet."
Daniel has no immediate plans for college campus visits this month, but he is looking to take a big campus tour next month.
"I was going to go down to Florida on April 7 and hit some schools on my spring break - Alabama, Ole Miss, Miami, Georgia," Daniel said.
