Missouri goes after Texas DE

It's not a surprise that Denton (Texas) Ryan defensive end Josh Williams already found out that he had his first scholarship offer with the spring just getting underway.
The 6-foot-4, 210-pounder had been hearing from a variety of schools from both in-state and out-of-state. It was a Big 12 North school that made the first offer for Williams and he's already put together a top three.

"I received my first offer from Missouri yesterday," Williams said. "I didn't know it was coming. The coach was up at my school. I found out that he was offering me. I like it. That was really my first time to hear from them that they were interested.
"It got me pretty fired up and excited."
Williams says that Missouri, Oklahoma State, and SMU are in his current top three.
"I like the fact that the field I wan to major in (business), they're known for being good in that area," Williams said. "They also have pretty good football programs as well."
As for visits, Williams says he'd like to wait for this summer to get things scheduled.
"I do know I'm going to visit OSU and Mizzou for sure," Williams said. "I'm going on a camp visit and probably an unofficial visit to those two."
With the spring underway, Williams says that both he and his teammates have shown progress.
"The team looks good," Williams said. "I've progressed a lot since the season as far as watching what I did on film last year and looking at now. I think I've progressed a lot."
Williams had 68 tackles, six sacks, and six pass breakups as a junior.
