Missouri first visit for Texas TE

One of Texas’ top tight ends has lined up his first official visit. So who’s first on the visit list for Houston Jersey Village three-star tight end Gabe Ratcliff?
“I’m going to visit Missouri with Ade,” Ratcliff said about his December 5 official visit to Columbia with running back teammate Ade Tuyo. “That’s the only one that I’ve got set up so far. I will also visit Texas for sure. That’s the only two places I know that I will visit.”

Ratcliff continues to list Texas, despite not having an offer from the Longhorns, as his top team. Other teams in the visit hunt along with Texas and Missouri, include Arizona, Colorado, North Carolina, Oklahoma State, Pittsburgh, Texas A&M and Texas Tech.
But recruiting is an afterthought at this point, for the 6-foot-3, 230-pound tight end. Ratcliff, ranked as the nation’s No. 15 tight end by Rivals.com, said he’s only focused on helping his team win ball games.
“Coach sat us down a few weeks ago and said it’s time to focus on getting to the playoffs,” Ratcliff said. “He said it’s time to play as long as we can and the only way that we’re going to do that is to not worry about the outside distractions like recruiting and other stuff. He wanted us to focus on football only, and that’s what I’m doing.”
Ratcliff has six touchdown catches on the season.
