Missouri DE working hard

Brooks Mosier, a 6-foot-4, 236-pound strongside defensive end Lee's Summit (Mo.) Lee's Summit West, has some good options on the table with offers already from Colorado State, Army, Illinois State and South Dakota. But the two-star prospect is also getting some good looks in track, too.
"I throw the discus and shot put," he said. "Honestly, I'm still trying to decide if I want to do track or football in college. I have had a lot of Big 12 schools contact me. Oklahoma was in this past weekend, and I also have heard from Missouri, Iowa State, Oklahoma, Kansas and Nebraska."

But the attention has yet to turn into new offers.
"I haven't had any new offers," he said. "If I had to pick top schools right now I'd probably say Colorado State would be No. 1 and Illinois State would be No. 2. I visited Colorado State this summer, they are building new facilities up there so I'm interested in talking to the coaches about it. Right now, the visit to Colorado State will be the only visit that I set up."
"I'm kind of just letting the process play out. Southern Illinois has been contacting me a little bit within the past few months as well."
Mosier said he's been working hard at trying to improve everything he does.
"I'm trying to really focus on coming off the ball and attacking the player in front of me rather than trying to guess the play," he said. "If I continue to do that and play hard, I know one of the other schools will like what they see."
