Missouri d-end nearing a decision

Harrisonville, Mo., defensive end Zach Kendall has taken trips to a couple of his favorites at this point with a couple more coming this week as the 6-foot-5, 270-pounder nears his decision on which college he will continue his football career.
"Zach has offers from Kansas State, Kansas, Tulsa and Ball State," Harrisonville coach Fred Bouchard said. "He is going down to Arkansas on Monday for their one-day camp. It is expected they will offer after he works out at the camp.

"He has visited Arkansas and K-State earlier on his own with his parents. He will be going to Kansas on Tuesday for an unofficial visit and he is considering whether to go to the one-day in Missouri at William Jewell."
Kendall lines up at defensive end for Harrisonville but could see a position change in college.
"He's a pretty good player for us," Bouchard said with a laugh. "He is a good worker, a big old boy. He is just a great athlete. He starts on the basketball team and he placed in the shot and discus at state this year. He has really long arms. He is 6-foot-5 and the arms make him appear taller. He plays defensive end and he is 270. He has a chance to be a 295 pound kid when he concentrates on one sport rather than jumping around between sports during the year. Some coaches see him moving inside to defensive tackle or moving to offense. We don't start him on offense. We haven't had to play him over there, but he could do it."
A decision will come in the next 30 days for Kendall.
"Zach is looking at make a decision this month. He is looking at the schools he wants to go to and those are the ones that are talking to him. He has narrowed down his list. He has his grades and his ACT score already. He'll find where he feels the best and go from there and make his choice."
