Mississippi WR awaits offers

A Mississippi player who could see his stock rise dramatically this season is Jackson Murrah’s Jabary Gipson, but it appears he’ll have to be a bit more patient.
“I don’t have any offers yet,” he said. “I’m not sure why. I thought I would have a couple by now. But Southern (Miss) is recruiting me pretty hard. They call me a lot, every week. They say they really want me. They want me to come down and visit sometime soon, so maybe they’ll do it then.

“I’m also hearing from Ole Miss and State. Not as much Southern, but they’ve called. Marshall, Auburn, Georgia, Tennessee, Louisiana Tech and LSU are still sending me some mail, but they haven’t called.”
Gipson (6-1, 175, 4.5) is coming off a junior season which saw him catch 53 passes for 948 yards (17.9 avg.) and nine touchdowns. He’s off to another good start this season with touchdown catches in each of his first three games.
Academically, he maintains a 2.6 GPA. He’ll take the ACT in October
