Mississippi State target admits commitment has crossed his mind

Around 10 schools have offered Kyziah Pruitt out of Macon (Ga.) Noxubee County, a wide receiver that had over 1,200 yards receiving and 16 total touchdowns as a junior.

There is one school that stands out much more than the rest at this stage, it has really been this way for some time.

Since late in the summer of 2017, Mississippi State has been in a good spot for Pruitt, the No. 14-ranked prospect in Mississippi.

In December, there was a change at the top in Starkville. Dan Mullen left to take over at Florida and the Bulldogs hired Joe Moorhead from Penn State.

Moorhead and his staff took over and Pruitt has not wavered on his favorite.

IN HIS OWN WORDS: "Mississippi State is definitely on top for me," said Pruitt. "The new staff came in and really welcomed me in as soon as they got there. They have shown me a lot of love, they have made me feel like a priority for them and I just love it when I am there.

"Coach [Luke] Getsy is the new receivers coach and we talk about every day. He is really on me hard. He tells me they want me and that I'm at the top of there board. If I come then it's going to bring everybody else too.

"I have thought about committing, but I haven't done it yet. I plan on waiting a while before I commit to someone, but it is not completely out of the picture. I am not ruling out a surprise commit or something. It is just not part of my plan right now.

"They have made me feel special."

RIVALS REACTION: Indiana, Memphis and Southern Miss are staying in contact with Pruitt on almost a daily basis, but they appears to be some distance between those three schools and Mississippi State. The new staff in Starkville has done an excellent job picking up right where the old one left off. The Bulldogs at this time look like they will be tough to beat.
