Mississippi State landed their first commitment on Wednesday night, and it was a big one in Mobile (Ala.) Baker dual-threat quarterback Josh Flowers.

After receiving an offer from the Bulldogs on February 16th, the three-star prospect made the trek to Starkville over the weekend for an unofficial visit and found his future home.

Bulldogs and head coach Zach Arnett and new offensive coordinator Kevin Barbay are getting a signal-caller that was an offensive machine during the 2022 season. Flowers connected on 64% of his passes, throwing for 1,453 yards and 10 touchdowns while also rushing for 1,367 yards and an additional 15 scores against 7A teams in the state of Alabama.

The 6-foot-3, 210-pound prospect chose Mississippi State over other notable offers from Texas A&M, Indiana, NC State, Arkansas, Alabama, Florida, and others.

Flowers is ranked as the 25th-best prospect in the state of Alabama and the 8th-best dual-threat quarterback in the country.
